Dining room: place where you eat. And although having an office feng shui kitchen is the most practical, Feng Shui has something to contribute to the well-being and health of people who enjoy this “new dining room”.
I’ll ask you a question, where do you usually eat? In the kitchen or in the dining room?
There are people who do not even have a dining room!
I have a good friend who does not have.
Although he does have space in his house for the dining room he decided to occupy it with a mega sofa with chaise longue of the coolest. However, this has its consequences.
If you do not use the dining room …
I know other people who usually eat regularly in the kitchen and what happens? Normally you eat in a small chair, or on a stool if you are several of family … surely because the kitchen tables are usually small.
Most, in many cases, you are eating facing the wall … and you do not realize their effects.
Time passes, and the years …
I have a very fresh case in my head: that of Silvia and her family, from Barcelona.
They have been eating for 14 years facing the wall, and without realizing it!
And the best part of the case, or what most caught my attention, is that they have a large space with a magnificent table and do not use it.
I KNOW WHAT YOU THINK WHEN YOU EAT IN THE KITCHEN:
- It’s more practical.
- We do not have to move all the dishes and utensils to the dining room.
- We save time.
- We collect before.
- We messed up a single place (the kitchen) …
I understand you.
BUT LOOK WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU HAVE A DINING SPACE AND DO NOT USE IT:
- First of all, you’re missing out on how good your house is,
- you are wasting the light you have in the dining room,
- the energy in the dining space will be stagnant,
- and this can negatively affect an area of the bagua map of your house.
Although it is not an excellent area, I am sure that in the dining room you have better light than in the kitchen, it is better ventilated (you will not be among appliances), and the space is a little wider.
What effects can eating eat in the kitchen?
A not so good nutrition; for the disposition and comfort (you focus on eating, you eat faster).
And above all, a lack of communication (a communication not so good among the people in the family).
The fact of being:
- all picked up,
- in a small place,
- low light,
- little ventilation …
It does not favour the family at all. So, if you can, if you have a dining room, it is better to go to the dining room.
WHAT TYPE OF DINING DO I ADVISE ACCORDING TO FENG SHUI?
The ideal, which does not mean that it is what you have, would be a round table, because communication flows better.
It can also be an oval table, but also a square or rectangular table. (At this point I would not obsess).
Then it is important that you have comfortable chairs. Do not choose chairs of any kind. Think that if you really want that good communication among yours, when friends come, when family comes, the fact of feeling comfortable is much more favourable for that good environment.
As for the dining room, it is important that the corners be as round as possible, although from the corners.
Something important is also that at the dining table do not stand behind the door. That is to say, try that the people that are in the table do not remain of backs to the door.
There will always be one with your back to the door, but if it’s you, maybe you eat alone, or two people who eat alone, never sit back at the door.
